mmm, I have a couple problems with this... Mostly because I'm really very picky about my Sailor Moon (I'm like... really really REALLY picky about my Sailor Moon...)
1. If they're all supposed to be from the same Galaxy (though I didn't read that bit of the manga, are planet Mau, Chu, etc in the Milky Way?) then why don't they have the same boots as the rest of the Senshi.
1b. And if they're from a different Galaxy and have been promoted to Galaxy soldiers their outfits should be primarily different.
I cite the Starlights as an example, their outfits were different because they were from a different star system, and therefore a different kind of Sailor Scout/Soldier ....

2. I don't approve of the color yellow being the only color in Usagi's costume. It should really be either all white or multicolored. It's generally understood that her aura color is pink, but Chibi Moon's costume is already that.
Also, her costume is usually more extravagant than the others. Have they all gained equality or something?


and 3. I don't really approve of their stomachs being exposed, it's just too much of a deviation from the original costume.... This is just a personal preference thing I guess, but still. One of the things that they never changes was the fact that their costume was always a once piece. That's really the only thing that never changed.

1: Well, my thinking was that the inner and outer senshi of our Solar System's planets were of a higher power level/ranking that Vortex's guardian senshi, and from what I've read in the comics, the solar system senshi didn't get full-size boots until they achieved their Star Seed Saga power levels. I guess my boots are a ranking system or something.

2: Actually, Usagi's aura color would more likely be silver, with her connection to the Silver Moon crystal. Her colors are more taken from her Princess Serenity gown, where the colors were white with gold accents.

3: The exposed bellybuttons aren't much of a deviation. Codename Sailor V, Sailor Moon's predecessor comic had an exposed belly, as did Sailor Jupiter's original costume design, which is where these fuku got most of their inspiration.

1. I sort of just thought the change in shoes when they all became 'star' senshi was more of an authority thing rather than a power thing... Like, in the grand council of Senshi in the universe they all have the same influence. A power thing wouldn't really account for why both Moon and Mercury had full length boots from the beginning. I mean, Sailor Moon was probably very strong even in the beginning, but putting Mercury above the rest doesn't seem accurate.

2. ... Umm, I have no argument for that one, but I still think theres too much gold.

3. I was under the impression that Sailor V's costume was home made. OR, another over thought theory is that since all the other Senshi hadn't awoke yet that she didn't have to conform to a certain solar system standard and therefore the transformation brought forth a uniform more localized to Venus.

Also I saw those concept drawings, they were so awesome. I loved Mercury's little eye screen and mic thing.

I'm glad you don't think I'm being overly critical.

Of course I don't think you're overly critical! Everyone has their own opinions on things, and I'm SO glad your comment wasn't just "Omagee that's so awesome u rule!" . A fresh change of pace!

While I do love the fuku designs, I do think you cannot sell this as a print since you're using a base that someone else made.
